Boardmasters kicks on on Wednesday 10th and there are some big contenders for both the shortboard and longboard events, it’s going to be amazing watching them battle it out for the titles at Fistral. Check out our pick of the ones to watch this year!
Justine is surfing in both the shortboard and longboard events at Boardmasters this year. As a top surf pro on the Women’s Surf Tour, Justine is used to the competition circuit so not doubt will put on an amazing show in both events.

We are beyond excited about this. Claire is such an amazing surfer and was an exciting competitor to watch on the Women’s World Tour. This Australian based Pro Surfer has had amazing career and we can’t wait to see what she brings to the event this year.

The current raining champion and UK surfer Peony has been dominating the British surf scene and has recently made an impact on the WLS QS events. Let’s see if she can defend her title for 2016 against this year’s heavyweights.
Miss Currie is the current British Longboard champion so is no stranger to having a podium finish. Like Justine, Emily rips on both shortboards and longboards and will be competing in both events. Good luck girl!
The current Boardmasters longboard champion, Alice is back for another year and has her eyes fixed on a first place finish again. Will the French surfer take the win this year? We can’t wait to find out!
Based in Hossegor Victoria is heading over for the 6th event on the WSL Longboard Qualifying series. This talented longboarder is one to watch, her graceful style will make you want to pick up a longboard and get out there!
This wonderful longboarder from the USA recently took the win and the Pro A Corona WLS QS event in Spain this month and certainly looks set to make her mark on Boardmasters this year.
