Boardmasters launches ‘shop local’ giveaway in collaboration with five of Newquay’s own independent shops, businesses and initiatives.

The campaign launches in a bid to encourage thoughtful gifting as shoppers seek out Boardmasters tickets as they explore diverse local businesses including charities and experience-based organisations.

Christmas is coming, the countdown is on and undoubtedly, there’ll be plenty of people leaving their Christmas shopping until the very last minute. That’s why every year Super Saturday (23rd December) is notoriously known as the UK’s busiest in-store shopping day as customers flock to stores hoping that shelves will be stocked with gifts and tidings of joy for their loved ones. This year, Boardmasters launches its ‘Shop Local’ campaign, encouraging Super Saturday shoppers in Newquay to visit their local and independent shops for those last minute gifts.

Along the way, there’ll be a special Boardmasters prize up for grabs as a festive treat. Fans will need to follow a trail of clues to identify the five local businesses and organisations where Boardmasters 2024 VIP camping tickets are hidden, and in the spirit of seasonal cheer and revelry, winners must say “see you at the beach” in-store to claim their prize! Boardmasters has teamed up with these local shops and organisations to encourage more thoughtful gifting this season – so rather than heading out and grabbing the classic pair of socks, Boardmasters fans are asked to get their thinking caps on as they uncover the diverse range of selected stores.

Andrew Topham, Boardmasters Festival Founder said, “We are incredibly proud to have built our foundations here in Newquay and strive to continually champion the brilliant and diverse local businesses and initiatives in the area. That’s why we’ve launched Shop Local – and while we encourage shopping locally in Newquay all year, we’ve got a special surprise for those hitting the shops this Super Saturday. What could be a better festive treat than Boardmasters VIP tickets up for grabs during the last minute Christmas dash?”
