With summer fast approaching and the award wining Surf Therapy Charity the Wave Project planning some pretty epic events we thought we would share our Wave Project what’s on guide and hints and tips on how you can support this amazing charity.

Paddle Out LOUD

If you love fancy dress and hitting the water you’re going to love this event. This iconic fundraisers is a family friendly event which focuses on getting bold and bright to raise awareness of mental health in young people. Paddle Out LOUD will be taking place across the UK throughout June to September. Whether you want to SUP and hit the water in your kayak, Paddle Out LOUD will allow participants to raise money for the Wave Project and take part in a fun fancy dress paddle. Sunset Sons Charity Gig

The Wave Project has teamed up with Anglo-Aussie quartet Sunset Sons to host a fundraising gig on Saturday 15th July, at The Watering Hole in Perranporth.

This exclusive gig will be one of the only chances people will get to catch the band in action in the UK, with Sunset Sons currently on a break from touring The Wave Project are excited to get the chance to collaborate with band.

Ticket sales are well under way with the gig set to raise thousands of pounds for this award-winning charity. All profits from the gig will enable The Wave Project to deliver even more surf therapy sessions and surf clubs across the UK.

Volunteer

The Wave Project is a charity predominantly consisting of volunteers, who donate their time and services for free to help change the lives of many young adults and children. Whether it’s supporting the clients in the sea or volunteers at events the Wave Project welcome anyone who is willing to lend a hand. If you’re energetic, fun and passionate about helping people then head click here and get involved. You don’t have to be able to surf or even hold a lifeguard qualification, you just have to want to help. The charity offer fantastic training opportunities and have helped volunteers become accredited beach lifeguards and can provide free training in first aid, safeguarding, autism awareness and mental health awareness.

Fundraise

It’s not just fundraising events that the Wave Project host that make a difference, individual fundraisers also have a big impact on the charity. Whether you plan to take on an endurance challenge for the charity or just want to host a cake sale a work, you can do it all for the Wave Project. Get creative and get your friends involved and help raise money for the life changing surf therapy courses.
