The Queen of the Point Finale took place this weekend at San Juan La Union in the Philippines. It was perfect logging conditions for the queens dancing on the waves with style and grace.
The winner of the Pro Division was Malia Ilagan, the 17 year old Filipina-American longboard sensation from Ventura, California, showing her surfing prowess in every QOTP heat against older and more experienced surfers. She came first in her division in last years series and came here to defend her title.
With five divisions and 47 entrants, some of the younger participants were also turning heads as well as the pros. In the U13 division 6 year old @lunalandriga went head to head with @cairille.is.a.pro987 in a heated challenge up until the final buzzer.
