Zhik, the innovative Australian water sports apparel brand, has launched a range of high performance watersports wear for women. The design team at Zhik, which has revolutionised sailing apparel since it set up ten years ago, has brought their same innovative, performance-oriented approach to the watersports ranges.
Key pieces in the range include the flattering zip-up one-piece, slim-fit leggings, lightweight shorts, mesh-insert bra top, as well as the reversible top and matching bottoms.
The newly launched Avinta is designed for active wear under wetsuits or rash vests, and can be worn as swimwear, solving a problem many women face when dressing for active workouts afloat. Recognising that cotton underwear is unsuitable for intense use and most swimwear fabrics do not provide adequate support, Avinta addresses both issues with its unique fabric and design.
Renowned for changing the face of wetsuit manufacturing in the sailing world, Zhik use much lighter, high stretch neoprene fabrics offering equivalent protection to the traditionally thicker wetsuit fabrics. The Womens Neoprene Watersports range integrates Zhik’s approach combining slim-line design, performance fabrics and tailoring for active use.
Zhik Avinta – the ultimate watersports underwear for women
Avinta is Zhik’s flattering range of super-lightweight printed Spandex giving women a comfortable, fast drying under layer essential for active watersports and workouts.
Made in a super-soft lightweight nylon Spandex with a flattering uni-directional print design, Avinta gives the perfect ‘next to nothing’ feel. Avinta can be worn as performance underwear beneath wetsuits and watersports gear, or as swimwear.

Avinta has been styled with seam shaping to flatter and give you chafe-free comfort in the important areas. The Capri leggings (£75.00) feature a high cut, shaped waistband and the Shorts have an inside pouch pocket.
Zhik Taura – dedicated women’s paddle range
Zhik’s Taura range is engineered specifically for warm weather SUP, surfing and Tri sports. Combining contemporary shaping with high performing, water-friendly materials for superior performance on or in the water, Taura is made from a robust, patterned stretch Spandex and thin neoprene.
The Taura Neo-Hybrid Pants (£99.95) have a seamless seat panel with additional thin neoprene cushioning for extra protection when paddling. The leg panels are a stretch Spandex and there’s handy, easily accessible, secure side pocket on the leg that is large enough to hold keys or coins.
The Taura Capris (£75.00) and long-leg Taura Pants (£73.00) have a smooth low-profile waistband with a lower front and higher back for free movement, complete security and comfort. The Pants have a seamless seat panel containing an additional lining for extra comfort and the front panel is also lined.
The co-ordinating Taura Neo Mid-Briefs (£46.00) are made in neoprene with a superfine non-slip elastic for security and are excellent for open water swimming too.
The Taura Neo Tri-Top (£53.00) has a neoprene bra panel for insulation and support, with a cross-over Spandex back for breathability. A stretchy, soft, supportive, low profile chest band ensures a completely secure and comfortable fit and prevents riding up whilst paddling and in the water.
