Hailing from Bude, Cornwall, Ellie has just been signed by talent management agency Friday.

“FRIDAY always tries to work with exciting talent that has potential to tell great stories so that we can combine our skills of production and management. With Ellie we have found an amazing young athlete in the UK. Ellie is a great character and has enormous potential to become one of the very best surfers in the world,” explains Friday’s Quirin Rohleder. “Ellie’s only 15 years old and we can’t wait to be the agency on her side while she takes the next big steps in her career. Whether it is qualifying for the WSL as the first UK female surfer or preparing for Japan 2020. Exciting times ahead!”

Ellie has won everything you can win as a professional surfer in the UK.  On an international level Ellie clinched the 2016 European Rip Curl Grom Search final and was runner-up in the international Rip Curl Grom Search final 2017.

Her runner-up finish in the 2017 World Surf League (WSL) European Pro Junior Tour secures Ellie a spot at the WSL World Junior Championships, which will be held in Australia in January 2018. This junior contest is one of the world’s most prestigious surf events, an important stepping stone in a surfer’s career and Ellie is the first ever UK female surfer to qualify for it.

Ellie is also the first ever UK surfer to win a medal at the ISA World Games. She finished 4th at the last ISA World Games in Biarritz, France in April this year, and with surfing gearing up for its 1st Olympic appearance in Japan in 2020, Ellie is the brightest UK prospect to make the qualification.

Ellie is sponsored by Rip Curl, FCS and King of Watersports.

One of the brightest prospects in European and international surfing, Ellie will aim at qualifying for the World Surf League (WSL), the professional surfing tour, which crowns the WSL World Champion every year. And with surfing now an Olympic sport, Japan 2020 is of course on top of her list.
