Shortly after, the competitors re-energised and prepared for the SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) race which saw participants battle with the white water to reach the buoy, whist safety jet skis were on hand nearby. Once past the bouy they headed straight to finish line on the beach, with all spectators on hand for moral support. The event concluded with a prize giving ceremony giving the run winner, Sarah Faragher £500 of Roxy product and wireless active headphones from Philips. Then SUP winner, Sarah Woolf was presented with a Roxy SUP board courtesy of Ann’s Cottage.

Following the success of last year’s #RUNSUPYOGA the newly named #ROXYFITNESS global tour commenced in earlier this year and has continued to make stops across the world at other spectacular locations such as Huntington Beach – California, Bali – Indonesia and Hossegor – France. The #ROXYFITNESS global tour has united many women around the world in outdoor fitness, with the beach as the perfect backdrop.

Located on the west side of the beach Fistral Beach Hotel also supported the event with superb hospitality looking after the Roxy ambassadors over the weekend.

Edward Martin, Marketing Manager for Roxy UK + Ireland said, “Roxy has thoroughly enjoyed bringing the global #ROXYFITNESS event back to Newquay’s Fistral beach, for the second year running. With strong support from the Roxy ambassadors it was a great celebration of outdoor fitness, bringing women together for a full day of run, SUP and yoga”.

Roxy ambassador and yoga instructor, Emma Jaulin said, “Such an inspirational weekend. It was great to see so many women from all over the UK sharing their passion for fitness and wellbeing. I loved teaching yoga to so many people, it was such a great vibe and highlight of my year so far. Bring on the next event!”
