From October 6th to 17th, the world’s elite male and female surfers arrive in France to compete conjointly in the Quiksilver Pro France (Men) and the Roxy Pro France (Women), the country’s only stop on the 2015 Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour. Renowned for its formidable and unpredictable surf, the French event is one of the strong points of the tour and the kind of event the sport’s best dream of adding to their list of career victories.

ROXY PRO France: the girls challenge the Landes beach breaks
The Roxy Pro France will be the second to last stop on the Women’s Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour 2015. The 17 surfers of the women’s world elite will end their European journey in France for a crucial stop in the 2015 Women’s World Champion title race. Roxy will be represented by current World n°5 Bianca Buitendag (ZAF), 6-time World Champion Stephanie Gilmore, back on track after an injury.

Chelsea Tuach (Barbados), newly qualified for the 2016 World Tour, will get the Roxy Pro wildcard.

A Special #RUNSUPYOGA during the Roxy Pro
On the occasion of the Roxy Pro France, Roxy will host a special #RUNSUPYOGA event in Hossegor gathering its global surf & fitness ambassadors such as Monyca Eleogram, Rosy Hodge, Kelia Moniz, Lee Ann Curren, Justine Mauvin, Bronte Maccaulay, Bruna Schmitz and Snowboard Olympic Champion Torah Bright. According to the Roxy Pro competition schedule, CT surfers Stephanie Gilmore, Chelsea Tuach and Bianca Buitendag will join the event. This one day event inviting girls to practice yoga, running and stand up paddle will be held in and around the Hossegor lake on October 11th.

QUIKSILVER PRO France: the kick off of the Men’s European leg
The Quiksilver Pro France is the 9th of 11 stops on the Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour. The 34 professional surfers who compete on the men’s elite pro surf circuit will start their European journey in France. Host cities of Hossegor, Capbreton and Seignosse are some of the World Tour surfers’ favorite locations thanks to their world class beach breaks. Spectacular and popular, the Quiksilver Pro France generally offers exceptional conditions and lots of barrels to the world’s best surfers and the impressive crowd attending the event every year.

After his recent win over current World Champion Gabriel Medina in Tahiti, Quiksilver’s Jeremy Flores will be eagerly awaited by all the French fans. The Reunion Island surfer is back surfing his best. Now ranked n°8 on the WSL leaderboard, he will do his best to score a major result in his home waters.

His team mates Wiggolly Dantas, still in contention for the Rookie Of The Year title and Matt Banting recovering from injury, will be celebrating their first participation to the Quiksilver Pro France as official CT members.
