Once you have your Horizon roof top tent ready to go, here our top 6 European surf adventures to head on:

Portugal

With over a thousand miles of coastline, the surfing options in Portugal are endless. From Porto, the Algarve and Peniche to Nazare to check out the big wave surfing, getting on the road is the best option to see it all!

England

Cornwall is the hub of the UK surf scene and there is plenty to see, surf and do. With consistent surf at Fistral, a super fun beach break at Watergate Bay plus surf, beaches and towns to explore at Perran Sands, Godrevy, St Agnes… the list goes on. Music lovers can head to Boardmasters festival in August and to extend the road trip, there is plenty of surf in Devon or why not head up to Snowdonia for a Wave Garden session!

France

Summer is the perfect time for a French adventure with warm water, fun waves and plenty of parties on offer. Key spots to tick off on your trip are Biarritz and Hossegor or if embarking on an autumn trip then the Quiksilver Pro is in October.

Spain

The north coast of Spain is a hotspot for fun waves, delicious tapas, rich culture and a good party. Surf towns San Sebastian and Zarautz are a must plus the jewel of that Basque Country, Mundaka.

Ireland

Donegal Bay on the northwest coast has a host of surfspots to explore including Bundoran, Easkey, Sandhill and Rossnowlagh. But a trip to Ireland is not complete without driving around the stunning scenery, enjoying a pint of Guinness in a local pub and enjoying traditional Irish music in a bar.

Scotland

For some cold water action and beautiful scenery, then a road trip to Thurso is the one. Located on the far northeast coast of the Highland region, this is the heart of the Scottish scene. The water is cold so a thick wetsuit and boots are a must.
