Summer is here; so it’s time to stop staying, “I cannot wait for summer to arrive so I can surf more.” The time is now, so get your board and GO SURFING! We all have aspects of our lives that get in the way of our time in the water, but if you want to surf more, you’re going to have to learn how to make time. Invest in your surfing and jump at any chance you get to surf. Make this summer the summer you surf more and check out our tips for increasing your board time:

Be an early bird

Wake up and shake up, it’s time to go surfing! An early start may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you want to surf more, then, it may be your only option. Check the chart the night before and if it’s looking like it’s going to be good, then get your surf kit ready, set that alarm and grab some dawn breaker waves.

Lunch break dip

Not everyone will have enough time on their lunch break to surf, but if you’re one of the lucky ones who can take extended lunch breaks then the only way you should spend them in by surfing! After all, you can eat your lunch at your desk later.

Surf After Work

It’s so easy to head for the comfort of your sofa after work and binge watch some trash TV, but is that going to improve your surfing … no! It really won’t. So don’t head home after work, head straight to the beach and in the surf.

Plan Ahead

If time is precious, then you may need to plan your surf time a little more and surf whatever the conditions. Book in a weekend surf trip or use your day off to chase the waves. The swell may not always deliver, but it’s work a try isn’t it.

Book a surf trip

A little indulgent maybe but why not treat yourself to some much-needed surf time. Surf camps, retreats or go it alone, whatever you option you choose you’re going to be able to surf every day, racking up that water time. Book your trip here.

In a nutshell, we are saying, make the most of any free time you get. There will always be emails to catch up on, or washing to do, but you cannot always guarantee good surf. Don’t let the summer pass you by.
