Olivia do you remember the first time you picked up a camera?
I do! It was actually a birthday gift for my mom. The second I got my hands on it, it instantly became an attachment to my hand.

How has social media helped you showcase your work?
I definitely think it’s helped me grow my audience and get myself out there. Social media is a huge thing right now, so to have a platform where I can showcase my work for people to see everywhere is extremely cool.
Do you have any photography goals?
Tons. I think my overall goal is to make a living doing what I love. Be able to provide for myself while still loving every minute of it.
Do you surf yourself?
Not much anymore, I used to surf almost everyday, but since I was able to take photos in the water, I always shoot. But I’ll pick up a long board every once a while.
What would you say your photography style is (if you think you have one)?
Raw, grunge, sandy and wet.

What’s your favourite thing to photograph?
One of my favourite things to photograph is definitely surfers. Being out in the water with my camera in the middle of all the action is so fun. It is harder to get photos because your camera is in an underwater housing, but I enjoy the challenge.
Whats life like as a female surf photographer?
It’s a whole lot of photo shoots, days at the beach, hours on hours of editing photos, and capturing moments. It’s incredible
Where would you most like to shoot?
Anywhere where there is a beach. As for travel destinations; Maldives, Indonesia, Tahiti, or Hawaii
Your top 3 surf photography tips?
Shoot everyday, don’t be afraid to reach out to companies or people you want to work with, and always try to find a way to make your photos stand out. Be creative!

How do you fit in photography around school?
It’s challenging. I have been homeschooled pretty much my whole life, so it’s a bit easier to juggle everything when I can do what works.
