Some of the vibes from last years event.
If you’re heading to Newquay this month, make sure the UK Surf & Skate Expo is on your radar. Returning for its second year on 25–26 July, the event has grown into an awesome celebration of surfing, skateboarding and coastal culture, with an incredible line-up of speakers, films, brands and experiences spread across the weekend.
This year’s programme features some of the biggest names in surfing, including Dylan Graves, Tim Lattee, Andrew Cotton and Laura Crane, alongside The Wavelength UK Surfer Awards and the European Surf Film Festival.
One of the highlights on Saturday sees surf explorer Dylan Graves join Tim Lattee for a fireside chat about their journey to the furthest reaches of Europe, followed by a screening of their latest film and a live Q&A. Big-wave surfer Laura Crane will also be sharing stories from her career on the Expo Hall stage.
On Sunday at 5pm, SurfGirl will be hosting a panel discussion celebrating women in surfing with Hayley Lawrence and Holly Purchase from the SurfGirl team, surf, film and media pro Tehlliah McGuinness and Demi Taylor from London Surf Film Festival. Expect an inspiring conversation covering confidence, performance and building a lifelong connection with the ocean.
Beyond the talks, the Expo Village will be buzzing with leading surf, skate and outdoor brands, while Rising Tide Festival brings a packed programme of sustainability discussions.
Here’s what you can expect to see over three days;
• European Surf Film Festival hosted by Lucy Campbell and Luke Gartside.
• The YETI stage returns for 2026.
New for 2026: XTRATUF’s Tales From the Frontier Stage; Out Of Office Conference, a one-day growth-marketing event on the Friday before Expo; demos on a new portable ramp from nanuskate; vintage board invitational; eco-board classic competition; Rising Tide Festival up in the Orchard; Little Firs with Passenger, get your apparel and wetsuits repaired for free with Patagonia; the first 80 people through the gates get a free wetsuit, courtesy Wetsuit Outlet — and so much more.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration, the latest gear, incredible films or simply a great weekend immersed in surf culture, the UK Surf & Skate Expo is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the summer. Chris Thomson, organiser of the UK Surf & Skate Expo, said: “We’ve gone so much bigger at this year’s event — with loads to do across the whole weekend of July 25th and 26th. We’re all looking forward to the talks, keynotes and fireside chats — and we’ve got more going on in the Expo Village too, with an independent street, wetsuit repairs from Patagonia, Passenger’s American school bus Little Firs is turning up, skate demos, a new stage and more from top brands. Even though there’s more going on this year, the same principles apply. The Expo is a place to ditch the doom-scrolling, head on down and be a part of the UK surf and skate culture’s only dedicated Expo and event.”
