Getting out and about might feel like a bit more effort and require lots of gear, but we’ve got you covered. Only the best essentials to grip the trails, take on the surf, and stay balanced. 1. Newquay
Yoga: Oceanflow Yoga, Fistral
A fun and friendly studio with panoramic views of the famous surfing spot, Fistral Beach. Offering various styles of yoga including the hot kind! Our fav place to get that post or pre surf zen on.

Surf: Fistral Beach
A hub for surfers all year round with waves for all abilities. Although busier in the summer months Fistral is like a little Australia and not one to miss. There’s a mix of locals and tourists in the water and surf shops and bars just off the sand.
Hike: Holywell Bay
Time it with the tides so that you can cross to Crantock but it’s a moderate level stomp of around 8 miles. You’ll get to stomp some of the more rugged north Cornish coastline and enjoy those open wide sea views.
2. Watergate Bay
Yoga: The Zen Den, Watergate Bay
Practice yoga in a beautiful yurt overlooking the beautiful breaks of Watergate Bay. They offer a host of workshops and regular classes. Open from early summer until late autumn.

Surf: Watergate Bay
Best at mid to high tide, Watergate Bay is two miles long with a number of peaks to choose from so, a little less crowded than other beaches in the surrounding areas. Long gentle rides on smaller days and packs a punch on bigger days. Plenty of facilities here too!
Hike: Mawgan Porth
A 3 mile hike along the SW Coast Path. The scenery is dramatic and you’ll see lots of secluded beaches along the way. The terrain is quite uneven so make sure you wear good footwear! Your end destination is lovely little village where you can enjoy a bite to eat and a refreshing Cornish ale or cider.
3. Polzeath
Yoga: Highcliffe Studio, Trebetherick
A beautifully designed family friendly community and sanctuary to unwind. Situated in the heart of Trebetherick Village with a timetable incorporating both yoga and pilates. The timetable, gym and studio welcome non-residents and their instructors are top notch! Check it out here.
Surf: Polzeath
This beach is perfect for beginners with a number of surf schools on the sand. Gentle waves on a smaller swell perfect for longboarders, particularly on a mid to high tide. It is a wide, sandy beach and is a go-to spot for all abilities all year round.
Hike: The Rumps & Pentire Point
This hike takes around three hours and is approx 6.5 miles. You will experience some awesome views out to sea and across the Camel Estuary. Some parts of this walk are pretty steep so make sure you’re well fuelled.
