After two years of taking on some of the world’s most powerful waves, big wave surfer Laura Crane has learned the true meaning of resilience — both in and out of the water After training for the season she rode the biggest wave of her life. Then Laura got invited to the WSL Nazare Challenge, one of the few women to take part in the event. After wiping out on a hefty Nazare wave she broke her leg, which temporarily ended her big wave season and she’s been recuperating since then.

Following her leg injury at Nazaré, she’s turned her journey of recovery into a powerful short film titled Resilience. Watch her latest video — it’s raw, real, and deeply inspiring.

Resilience
Its to rise—again and again. It is to defy expectations, to push forward despite doubt, and to carve space where none was given. Resilience is in her voice when she refuses to be silenced, in her strength when the world tells her she can’t. She faces challenges, yet she does not break—she transforms. She stands, she fights, she endures. Not just to survive, but to thrive.
