Brisa, raised in a family deeply connected to the ocean, spent her early years honing her talents in both Costa Rica and Hawaii. Her journey at Teahupo’o during the 2024 Tahiti Pro was a special one, have a look behind the scenes at what it takes to get a wave like Chopes dialled, with all the cuts and bruises making it worth it.
It’s especially impressive because Brisa didn’t even know if she was going to compete again after a roller coaster year during 2023, falling off the Tour and dealing with physical and mental health issues. But now she’s back, brighter and stronger than ever. Warrior woman!
