Out, proud, and a pioneer in the sport, Keala Kennelly the professional big wave surfer and DJ gives us a glimpse into her daily town and country lifestyle on the island of O’ahu. From being the only woman out at Pipeline, to coming out and being truthful.

Keala Kennelley is an icon of women’s surfing. The forerunner of women’s big wave surfing, the first ever women’s World Big Wave surf champ, instrumental in paving the way for parity for women in competitive surfing as well as flying the flag for the gay community. Keala has always done things her own way, on her own terms and it’s paid off.
