Volcom’s Simply Solid story begins with a long-standing love relationship with the sea. This collection is primarily composed of a swim fabric spun in Italy from ECONYL recycled yarn, produced from lost fishing nets and other discarded nylons. These ghost nets haunt our oceans and have a tendency to harm marine life below the surface. Therefore the nets are ‘upcycled’ with other forgotten nylons to help avoid the risk to marine life.

Project 0 is a global organisation working to restore and protect the world’s oceans. Proceeds from the Simply Seamless Bodysuit will benefit Project 0 and their efforts to fix the world’s largest and most solvable problem – THE OCEAN.
Simply Solid Seamless
Made using the same Econyl yarns as the Simply Solid collection but at a higher percentage, 82% regenerated nylon. This higher nylon content together with a jersey knitting technique results in a luxurious, super soft Italian fabric. Each swimsuit is made with two layers of this remarkable fabric and every piece in this collection feels as soft on the inside as it does on the outside. Plus the added bonus of being that much more sustainable.

This season, the campaign was shot in Cabo Pulmo, a National Marine Sanctuary in Mexico. One of the world’s largest marine reserves protecting the oldest and last live coral reef in the American Pacific. Here Volcom celebrity ambassador Georgia May Jagger, Volcom surfers Coco Ho and Maud Le Car and model Tina Kunakey witnessed flocks of jumping rays, sea turtles, nurse sharks and swam of friendly fish numbering the in the 10s of thousands. The perfect back drop for the eco swim story.
