Kloee, what’s your favourite thing about living in where you live?
My favorite thing about where I live is being able to surf lowers whenever I want and being blessed with amazing weather.
If you had to describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be?
Passonate, caring, adventurous .
When did you first start surfing and why?
My dad first thought me how to surf when I was six years old. I have always had a love for the beach and the ocean, so once my dad bought me how to surf I knew that it was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
Who’s your fave surfers?
My favorite surfers are Mick Fanning and Stephanie Gilmore, they are both such talented surfers with real passion for the sport.
What do you do to stay in good shape?
Besides surfing everyday, I train at the gym two to three days a week and go to yoga as often as I can. If its a nice day then I will usually go for a run on the beach trail.
What’s your fave thing to eat?
Everything, I love food. But if I had to pick a favorite it would be Mexican food… or sushi.
What’s your weakness?
Chocolate and coffee.
Who do you hang out with?
Most of my good friends from High School don’t surf, however I’ve made so many great friends from competing on the WSL Qualifying Series that surf, so I get the best of both worlds!
Who’s the biggest influence on your surfing career?
My dad is by far the biggest influence in my surfing career, he is always pushing me to grow and improve. He is always there for me and I have no idea what I would do without him.
What’s your fave board to ride?
My favorite board is my purple 5’7” thruster made by Garth Day.
What’s the biggest surf you’ve been in?
The biggest surf that I’ve ever been in is 20 foot Steamers Lane.
How do you conquer your fear?
I conquer my fears by facing them head on, because once its over and you realize that you’re still alive and everything okay, its not a fear anymore.
Describe your average weekend?
My average weekend consists of going to the beach, surfing, and hanging out with friends. I don’t think my weekends could get any better then that.
What’s the best song to get amped for a surf?
My favorite pre surf song right now is Me, Myself, and I by G-Eazy. It gets me so excited to surf i’ll be singing it in my head the whole time I’m in the water.
If you could have a superpower what would it be and what would you use it for?
If I could have any super power it would have to be the ability to fly, so I could fly all around the world to travel, surf, and help others.
What’s your plans for 2016?
My plans for 2016 are to finish my second semester of college, travel and compete in all of the QS 6000 events.
