Surfpop is an organisation which was founded last year, by Daniel Botha. The aim of the project is to help kids from townships to find a new perspective in life and to keep them away from gangsterism and other dangers in the townships through surfing.
At the moment the Surfpop team trys to build up the program properly, what means they collect donations for own wetsuits and surfboards for the kids. Furthermore they try to find people who are interested in volunteering for the project. Right now twelve children, three girls and nine boys, from the township Masiphumelele near Capetown attend the program and they’re looking for help with fundraising and equipment.
