ROXY is proud to announce that Vahiné Fierro, a ROXY athlete, has just qualified for the prestigious 2025 World Championship Tour of the World Surf League (WSL). This qualification is the result of an exceptional season, marked by the determination, talent, and unique style of the Tahitian surfer.

A Memorable Season
The 2024 season was full of emotions for Vahiné. On the Challenger Series, she delivered remarkable performances. She placed second in Ballito and also achieved solid results in Huntington Beach and Ericeira, consolidating her position among the world’s best surfers.

But it was undoubtedly at home, in Tahiti, where Vahiné experienced the most thrilling moments this year. After receiving a wildcard for the Tahiti Pro, she won the event and became the favorite for the Olympic trials at Teahupoo a few weeks later. In the round of 16, in challenging conditions, Vahiné Fierro was eventually defeated at home. Despite the setbacks, her consistency and ability to adapt to varied conditions enabled her to finish the year by achieving her dream: securing a spot on the World Championship Tour.

On the Road to the 2025 World Championship Tour
Thanks to this qualification, Vahiné Fierro will join the world’s best athletes on the most iconic waves around the globe. The 2025 World Championship Tour promises to be a memorable year, and we are excited to see her proudly represent ROXY on the waves and, perhaps, on the podiums.

About Vahiné Fierro
Born in Tahiti, Vahiné is extremely close to her family and started surfing at just 2 years old. Three years later, her talent was undeniable. At 14, she reluctantly agreed to participate in competitions. Without a high school on her native island of Huahine, young Vahiné moved to Tahiti, where she began surfing world-class waves. A year later, ROXY welcomed her into their Surf Team. Her sisters Heimiti and Kohai would join her in the following years. In 2018, she won the Junior World Championship title in Australia, a result that propelled her onto the global stage. Now known as the “Queen of Teahupo’o,” the surfer dominates one of the most dangerous waves in the world.
