We surf girls are a pretty special bunch. I may be biased, as I am a surfer girl myself but I am sure you’ll all agree that we’re a fun loving bunch; who love nothing more than to spend our free time on the beach and in the surf. Here are my 6 reason why Surf Girls Rock!

We aren’t ones to just sit around the house; we want to be out there there living life to the full. Searching for new waves and if there aren’t waves we will try and find some other fun water based activity to do. We plan our free time around surfing and spend our time searching new places to visit around the world with the best waves to surf.

Loving the ocean and all the creatures in it go hand in hand with being a surf girl. We’re happy to get sand on our toes and salty water in out hair. For us nothing beats a day on the beach surfing waves with our friends. Our worst nightmare is being cooped inside all day wasting precious surf time. We need to be out in the fresh air come rain or shine!

Being a surf girl requires a lot of focus and determination. It’s a hard sport to master and we need to be healthy and physically fit to become a good surfer. We are active when ever possible and our love for being outdoors means we up at sunrise looking for surf and won’t stop until sunset comes, till it’s too dark to surf.

A BBQ on the beach, an early morning surf with friends, anything that keeps us on the beach and in the surf will put a smile on our faces. We don’t need to go for long shopping dates or fancy lunches. The simple things in life make us happy.

Surfing isn’t for the faint hearted, the wipeouts, paddle outs and cold winter surfers are enough to put most people off but not us. We aren’t afraid of a little wind and rain. If the surf is good we are out there, we may just be wearing a lot more neoprene than usual.

Us surfer girls stick together, it’s a sister hood and we are all sisters of the surf. When we’re in the water we cheer each other on and make sure that everyone gets waves. We are always up for an adventure and have a happy go lucky approach to life!
