Following the launch of their new campaign, Make Waves Move Mountains, Roxy is inviting women to join it’s movement and take part in the Make Waves Move Mountains tour which will be visiting the UK’s South West coast to merge their surf heritage with contemporary festival vibes at Boardmasters the UK’s biggest music and surf festival!
The first and exclusively female global action sports brand, has been empowering female pioneers since 1990 and continues to do so with their popular #MAKEWAVESMOVEMOUNTAINS lifestyle; aspirational yet inclusive. This year the European Roxy tour will be heading to Boardmasters for a weekend of sea‐view yoga sessions alongside the brands’ inspiring ambassadors, the multi‐talented Bruna Schmitz, Zoe Grospiron, Monyca Eleogram, Juliette Lacome, Katie Omerod and Vahine Fierro.
Roxy yoga will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Watergate Bay with Roxy ambassadors during the festival, in which £1 of every registration fee will be donated to “Keep a Breast” charity. To avoid missing out as spaces are limited, follow the link to register for a Roxy yoga class. Ticket holders will also receive a welcome pack and Roxy yoga towel.
Crowds will be able to browse their way through the latest collection at the Roxy eco pop‐up store at Watergate bay as well as visit the Roxy tent on Fistral beach, where Roxy girls will have the opportunity to customise their own Roxy cap and learn more about Roxy’s “Keep a Breast” cancer awareness activation. Attendees will also have the chance to test Roxy surfboards, meet and greet with Roxy athletes and take a break at the chill out zone!
In between music acts, attendees can head down to Fistral beach to watch the Quiksilver Open and Roxy Open surf competitions in Cornwall’s surfing captial. Roxy will be bringing the only UK held event of the Women’s Qualifying Series to Fistral beach as part of the World Surf League, where spectators will have the opportunity to watch Roxy girls such as Zoe Grospiron, Juliette Lacome and Vahine Fierro compete for the title. This cements Boardmasters as the most high‐profile surfing event in the UK and guarantees an array of travelling international surfers as well as the best British surfers to look out for in competition.
Other activities to get involved with at the festival include the giant plastic wave installation that will be created by Quiksilver to further demonstrate their recent achievement of converting 100 Million plastic bottles into board shorts, jackets and more, through their Repreve® program. Finally, the public party on Fistral Beach on the Friday evening of the festival is not to be missed!
