The film CURRENTS OF DEVOTION follows the journey of French pro surfer Maud Le Car, who has dedicated her life to the ocean. After years in the intense world of competition, Maud is now fully embracing the world of free surfing—no longer chasing results, but simply enjoying the waves and giving back to the ocean that has given her so much.
Through her non-profit Save La Mermaid, Maud raises awareness among younger generations about the importance of protecting marine ecosystems. During a trip to Indonesia, she connects with a local skateboarding organisation that helps children build a better future. The film highlights the connection between the two projects—both rooted in the belief that following your passion, whether in the waves or on the streets, can lead to meaningful impact.
