Saturday 3rd October sees the return of the Bristol Surf Film Festival, in association with Reef and Spoke & Stringer. This year promises another exciting line up of international and world class films, with additional exhibitions celebrating the creative side of surf culture. Festival goers will experience a day and evening of film, both feature length and short, Q & As with artists, music, food and drink. Here’s a taster of what’s on offer;
Taking place in the hub of the PaintWorks, Bristol’s ‘creative quarter’, the Bristol Surf Film Festival is an entirely independent event that aims to support charities and organisations that represent the grass-roots surf culture.
‘We are creating an event inspired by Bristol’s innovation, cultural expression and independent ethos. A festival that brings together and celebrates surf culture, creating something that people can connect with in a city tied to the sea with a passion for surfing’. The carefully selected line-up includes entries from international hit releases such as Bear Island (Wegge Bros) and The Fjord by Bean Weiland, to UK Premieres of independent productions such us Tom Bottom’s Alombre.
