The curtain has fallen on the European leg of the Rip Curl GromSearch tour. The final event, which brought together winners from Italy, Portugal, Spain, the UK, and France, was held on Wednesday, October 22nd at Santocha (Capbreton, France). Each competitor came with one goal: to claim the European title.
For the under-16 surfers, this final was also a unique opportunity: a chance to earn their spot in the International Final, which will gather continental champions in Hossegor from November 4th to 8th.
The morning conditions were a bit challenging, with strong southerly winds. But as the wind dropped and the tide turned ideal in the afternoon, competitors were treated to beautiful glassy waves, setting the stage for spectacular finals.
Jaime Veselko (Portugal) and Naïa Monte (France), both winners in the under-16 category, have secured their tickets to the Rip Curl GromSearch International Final. Congratulations to them!
