As summer draws closer, Boardmasters reveals on the Cornish coastline it calls home, a name etched into the sand. Through a striking piece of large-scale sand art, Lily Allen emerges as the festival’s final 2026 headliner, anchoring a huge Wave 2 announcement at the edge of the Atlantic. This latest wave of artists deepens the sound, sharpens the contrasts, and reinforces the spirit of discovery at the heart of the festival. Following strong demand after the first announcement, tickets are now on final tiers and continue to move fast with limited numbers available via boardmasters.com.
Lily Allen is one of the UK’s most culturally defining pop artists with an era-defining catalogue, sharp songwriting skills and undeniable star power. Just nominated for ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best Pop Act’ at this year’s BRIT Awards, this adds to 10 nominations over her iconic career, including one win. Joining previously announced headliners Fatboy Slim and Kasabian, as well as one of UK rap’s most compelling voices Loyle Carner, she arrives fresh from the release of her critically acclaimed 2025 and now BRIT nominated album ‘West End Girl’ which she will be performing in full, live from the Cornish coast. The record marks a bold new chapter with sharp, reflective and unapologetically honest storytelling, razor-edged observation and plenty of emotional depth.
Continuing the second wave additions, Boardmasters continues to blur the lines between mainstream and underground, live and electronic, heritage and future. Following her second critically acclaimed album ‘Juniper’ last year, Joy Crookes is set to bring her unmistakable soul and lyrical weight back to the coast. Rising indie talent, Mercury Prize nominee and this year’s BRITs Critics’ Choice winner Jacob Alon also brings their confident, vulnerable and confessional style fresh off the back of 2025’s critically acclaimed album, ‘In Limerence’. Meanwhile, Lucy Spraggan and Beans on Toast represent the very best of UK folk-pop and acoustic, each known for deeply personal songwriting.
Bringing the lineup’s dance-floor-ready frequencies to the edge of the world, Fleetmac Wood deliver their globally celebrated DJ collective, transforming the cliffs into a sun-drenched, open-air dancefloor. On the heavier end of the spectrum, electronic tastemakers Hamdi, Sicaria, Lens and Gotham B2B Deekz are amongst those set to inject late-night bass and uncompromising club energy, while Charlie Boon returns to his home county for a special b2b with BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story.
Sprinkled across the weekend, new-generation pop and alternative voices including Rose Gray, Etta Marcus, Charlotte Plank, Holysseus Fly, and Chloe Qisha reflect the festival’s commitment to spotlighting artists on the rise. Elsewhere, the lineup stretches into indie, experimental and genre-blurring territory with Old Mervs, Dirty Nice, Good Health Good Wealth and Oh My God! It’s The Church, plus much more.
More than just the music, and returning to its iconic home at Fistral Beach, Boardmasters is a true escape to the edge of the world. Rooted in Cornwall, the festival brings elite international and UK surfers to one of the planet’s most legendary surf locations, with a long-standing commitment to protecting the natural environment and supporting local communities. With surf competition registrations opening soon, the Boardmasters Open sits at its core, hosting WSL Men’s and Women’s Pro competitions alongside the Junior Open, set against the dramatic coastline at the furthest reaches of the UK where music, nature and coastal culture collide.
Beyond the competition, the festival expands into a full celebration of surf, wellness, sport and adventure, with surf lessons and packages for all abilities, yoga and sound baths, and a dedicated wellness spa featuring saunas, hot tubs and ice baths. Fitness sessions, run clubs, football competitions, massage, Muscle Beach workouts and cardio core classes round out an immersive coastal getaway where the adventures go far beyond the waves, all all delivered within a safe, inclusive and responsibly run environment that prioritises wellbeing, accessibility and community.
Further wellbeing, art and cultural programming will be announced, expanding the festival with immersive installations, creative workshops, jewellery-making, art and mask workshops, talks and restorative experiences. Skate sessions, silent discos, comedy, bingo and more complete the offering, delivering a varied and unique experience for those who wish to explore, blending high-energy headline moments with spaces for calm, reflection and connection by the sea.
Born from the surf and shaped by the land, Boardmasters is a festival that never stands still. It moves with the seasons, the scenes, and the stories shaping the UK’s musical landscape. This second announcement brings artists whose energy hits as true and powerful as the wind across the cliffs, delivering an experience as raw, wild, and unforgettable as the coast itself.
